METACOGNISM

2023

What if we could watch our own thoughts?
Not to judge them. Just to see them.

“Metacognism” begins with a manifesto by Megan Volpe:
a call to look inward instead of outward,
to name what we feel before deciding what to do with it.
To let pain and fear stay where they belong, inside us.
And to remember that happiness isn’t a room we live in.
It’s a passing state, like everything else.

For this piece, I worked on the 2D animation,
turning that inner distance into movement.

Some things can only be seen
from a little distance.
